NEW Cheba print release

NEW Cheba print release.

25th March 2011. 6.30-10pm.

It is believed Maneki Neko first appeared during the later part of the Edo period (1603–1867). A common Japanese sculpture, which is believed to bring good luck to the owner. The sculpture depicts a cat beckoning with an upright paw, and is usually displayed many times at the entrance, in shops, restaurants, pachinko parlors, and other businesses. A raised left paw supposedly attracts money, while a raised right paw protects it.

Puma x Classic Kicks R698

This collaboration between Puma and NYC’s ‘Classic Kicks’ store (which unfortunately is now closed) see’s a vibrant take on a classic runner, the R698, with designs that have some interesting inspiration behind them.

Favourite sneakers from the past and friendship bracelets were both colour inspirations on this project, with some serious 90’s colour palettes used. Materials such as 3M, nubuck and mesh are a certified win combination that works wonders on most runners and these are a great example of why it works so well. ‘Classic Kicks’ branding sits on the tongue and footbed and to finish things off, there’s a neoprene laptop bag that accompanies the shoes which carries on the vibrant tip.

These will be available in-store from Foot Patrol, on 14th February.

Taken from 'The Daily Street' Many Thanks to them..!!
